Our Team Members

Talethia Cosby

Talethia is a Georgia native who made Birmingham her home in 2008. As a dedicated Clinical Laboratory Scientist specializing in Genetics, she has 20+ years of medical laboratory expertise and is a proud graduate of University of Alabama at Birmingham, Albany State University, and Georgia Military College. 

Talethia currently serves Birmingham through collaborative efforts with many nonprofits and committees in an all-points approach to wellness within the family unit.

CarDarius

CarDarius grew up in rural York, AL and attended college at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). He majored in Biology in undergrad and Medical Laboratory Science in graduate school. He is currently a medical technologist at UAB’s Student Health and Wellness Center. 

While in college, CarDarius joined Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. He was an active member of both, and he was chapter secretary during his undergraduate membership in Alpha Phi Alpha.

CarDarius has written a book titled, A Different Perspective: Revisiting Slavery, War & Freedom, where he takes an in-depth look at Black American history and reanalyzes many of the common narratives about slavery and emancipation. He plans to write more books about history and biology to share what he has learned while at university and independently. 

During his free time, CarDarius likes to read, play basketball, and workout.
